"Responsible for gathering, integrating and interpreting sources of data that uncover opportunity gaps and solutions to enhance business performance.
"Consults with key constituents internally (Category Managers, Sales Managers, Channel Managers, Product Managers, etc) and with suppliers as appropriate (i.e. line reviews, annual planning meetings, etc).
"Provide tactical and logistic support to set planograms and merchandising initiatives with the Target buying office.
"Utilize understanding of consumer insights and market data trends in order to identify key issues and opportunities for profitable brand/category growth: Provide analytic support on category management initiatives, which assist the division in making volume, share, and net revenue goals.
"Proactively identify growth opportunities by category and brand and communicate action plan to address opportunities.
"Prepare reports/presentations of research results by integrating relevant data into a cohesive output and communicating key learning's, insights and conclusions in order to provide actionable recommendations to Target management team.
"Coordinate the delivery process of marketing place information and related data in order to ensure ready and easy access of data to potential users to monitor marketplace performance.
"Establish relationships and work effectively with internal and external Target buyers and team members in order to meet one's own and the groups' goals effectively and efficiently.
"Analyze data and produce reports to assist in decision-making process as part of the competitive line review process.
"Determine priorities for one's area of accountability to create clarity and enable work to be completed efficiently.
"Supply retail space management and merchandising services to Sales and Marketing Departments. Provide analysis and make recommendations based upon P.O.S. movement, syndicated data rankings, and other available resources to increase retail shelf productivity and improve fact-based selling capabilities within the organization.
Duties:
"Run weekly category reports for Target staff; maintain confidentiality and data integrity
"Create and send weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for NWL staff
"Host monthly meetings with the Channel team to review and summarize key findings from the monthly scan data and create/distribute PowerPoint summary slides to the marketing department.
"Work with the Channel and Sales teams to identify and update our list of "Power Codes" so that RFP is selling and promoting the top performing sku's.
QUALIFICATIONS
"Strong analytical and computer skills with a four year college degree
"A solid mathematical aptitude, capable of learning and explaining basic productivity/ financial measures with confidence.
"The ability to interface with Sales, Channel Marketing and Product Marketing associates to meet their merchandising needs
"The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize accordingly.
"A knowledge of or experience with syndicated data and NITRO or Xelerate Plus software.
"3-5 years of category management experience with extensive syndicated data experience with IRI and/or AC Nielsen.
Preferred Qualifications:
